The 2010 APSIPA Annual Summit and Conference is inviting student researchers to submit papers to
the Student Symposium, which accepts papers that report completed research, work in progress or
exploratory activities.
The Symposium provides an excellent venue for student researchers to publish their work, and receive
useful feedback and suggestions from the general audience of APSIPA ASC 2010.
Potential topics areas for submission include, but not limited to the following:
1. Signal Processing (audio/speech, image/video/multimedia, etc),
2. Communication Systems (communication and information theory, networking security, wireless
communications, etc),
3. Information Processing (database and data mining, ubiquitous and mobile computing, computer
vision and pattern recognition, and computer science fundamentals),
4. Multimedia and Computer Graphics (Interaction and interface, virtual reality and augmented
virtuality, computer graphics and visualization fundamentals, etc),
5. Circuits and Systems/VLSI (biomedical, nanoelectronics and gigascale, neural systems and
applications, VLSI systems and applications, embedded systems, etc)
Submission of Papers
Paper submissions to Student Symposium follow the same layout as that of the main conference. The 1-page extended abstract
describing the technical contribution should be submitted to the same online paper submission portal as
the main conference submissions.
Please select the "Student Symposium" category in the portal during submission. The deadline for
Student Symposium paper submission is June 10, 2010.
